Our story

Our story, told in one seal

MiSO, Made Inside, Shared Outside, is ArtisA’s creative reintegration programme for incarcerated women in Aruba. Every piece carries this mark. Each of its shapes holds a part of the story.

A bridge between inside and outside

MiSO began in August 2024 as Made Inside, a creative workshop for women at KIA, Korrektie Instituut Aruba, run with Tur Cos Ta Posible.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, makers from Space21 cross that bridge for eight hours each. What the women make goes back across it, finished and sealed.

Talent that blooms, even in a small space

In 2025 the programme grew into a pilot for 25 women, supported by LET’S ACT, CEDE Aruba / FCP.

The work bloomed outside, too: MiSO pieces were shown at the Aruba Art Fair and at Art Fashion.

After release, the work continues in our aftercare at Space21. Twelve extra workshop days are planned for November and December 2026, and we are seeking funding for the 2027 programme.
